March's kit went live today and we just know it's going to put you in the mood to scrap those Spring pages!

Here's what Paper Posie's owner Michele had to say about this month's kit:

Happy spring! Working with this kit has really brought on the spring fever for me early this year. I want it to be here NOW! We’ve seen the sun several times the past week and the boys and I have ventured out for some evening walks without freezing too badly, so I have high hopes that it’ll be here soon. I havehad so much fun picking out this kit and finding all these brand new, springtime, FUN goodies! I hope that you all enjoy it as much as I have.

- Michele, Paper Posies Owner

Getting to know February's Guest Designer...

Please join me in welcoming February's Guest Designer!

Hello! My name is Pamela Young, and am thrilled and honored to be guest designing for Paper Posies!

I absolutely LOVE scrapbooking. It is a way of life for me. :) It is my therapy and my peace. I have been scrapbooking for about 9 years and card-making for 8 years. I have just added altering and digital/hybrid scrapbooking to what I do this past year. I love making home d├ęcor. My style keeps evolving. I love to try new things. I also tend to stick with my favorite techniques and designs. If I find something I love, I tend to use it a lot. :) I have been published in several different magazines (Cards, Creating Keepsakes, Memory Makers, Scrapbooks and Cards Today, Scrapbooks Etc, and Scrapbook Trends). I keep an updated blog at http://pamelasworldofscrap.blogspot.com/.

I am currently living in Colorado, and I am a SAHM to two wild boys, ages 6 and 4, and a baby girl who is almost 1. They grow up so fast. I am enjoying life right now, even though it can get a bit chaotic. :) I have a wonderful husband who is supportive of my crafting obsession. We have been married for 9 years. Family plays a big part in my life.

Favorite trimmer: I don't really have a favorite...I just use my old fiskars and it works just fine for me. :)

Favorite Scrapbooking Tool: My Paper Piercer

Favorite Ink: Spray Ink: Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels

Favorite Photo Developer: Me. :) I print all my own photos.

Favorite Scrapbook Magazine: Really it changes a lot, even from month to month, but Scrapbook Trends seems to be pretty constant.

Favorite Patterned Paper: My Little Shoebox, Websters Pages

Favorite Cardstock: American Crafts

Favorite Thing I've Created: Oh I have many favorites...too many to list.

New scrapbooking goodie/trend:

Scrapbooking Style: I am not sure I have a style that can be defined as anything but "Pamela's style".

Why I Love Scrapbooking: I love that the artist in me comes out to play in a way that also records my stories and the photos and memories that I don't want to forget.

Best Organizational Tip: Clean up after you are done. :) (I am HORRIBLE at this!)

Stay tuned... I will be posting some more inspiration from Pamela!

challenge for week of 2/8/10 .. a little early!

Guess what?? I'm here to post NEXT week's challenge a little early! There was a little mix up with who was in charge of a challenge this week, so we decided I could just post mine a little early. :)

As I mentioned last month, I'm taking all of this year's challenges from the book 52 More Scrapbooking Challenges by Elizabeth Kartchner. This month I'm looking in the second section entitled "Take a Number." I chose the first challenge (p. 26 if you have the book) to pass on to you which is:

"Use a Specific Time as Your Layout's Title"

For this challenge you'll have to look through your photos with this idea in mind. Think about your daily schedule, the routine you follow from day to day and find a photo (or take some photos) of something that defines that. Elizabeth talks about freezing a moment in time and dedicating a page to that particular time of day. I love the idea!

Here's my layout using this challenge. I'm going backwards right now in my scrapbooks and it's been so fun remembering my kids when they were little and all of their routines. This particular photo caught a perfect moment in time that I could journal about. My youngest son had afternoon kindergarten and so him and I always spent the morning together. He was a late riser, so he took his time eating and watching his favorite PBS shows... it was a wonderful time in our lives! I'm glad I was able to document it! **I used the January '10 PP kit.**

Please remember to use a Paper Posies kit - any kit will do!! and load up your creations in the gallery by Sunday evening, February 14th. Also, please link us here on this page too! I can't wait to see what you all create!
